Bogdan Kwolek received Ph.D. from AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and his habilitation at the Silesian University of Technology. He was awarded DAAD Scholarships to Bielefeld University and Technische Universität München, a scholarship from the French government to INRIA, an EEA scholarship to University of Stavanger and University of Oslo, and a scholarship from Polish Government to Stanford University. He is an associate professor of computer science at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. His areas of interest include multimedia information processing and human–machine communication. He is the author of more than 100 papers in the above-mentioned fields.
